Expropriations

An expropriation concerns the taking of land by an authority permitted to do so by legislation in order to carry out a “public purpose”. The expropriation process is highly regulated, requiring all those involved to comply with strict timelines and rules in order to complete the taking and finalize the compensation and payment of other damages.

We are proud to have represented a variety of landowners and governmental authorities throughout the expropriation process.
