Alyssa Granato

Associate

Alyssa was called to the Bar in 2020. Prior to joining Mathany & Higgs Law, Alyssa worked as a solicitor at one of the Canada’s largest municipalities on construction and infrastructure matters. Alyssa also practiced as an associate in a mid-size Toronto firm representing public and private sector clients in real estate acquisition, expropriation, municipal, land planning and development law files. Alyssa completed a full-service articling term at the Regional Municipality of Peel, giving her an in-house perspective on expropriation, municipal, land use planning, and development law matters. Throughout her career, Alyssa has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Provincial Offences Court, the Ontario Land Tribunal, and before municipal Council and committees.

Alyssa earned a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received an award for academic achievement. Before law school, Alyssa earned an Honours B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies and a Research Specialization from Wilfrid Laurier University.

When Alyssa is not working, she enjoys baking, skiing, on both snow and water, skating, canoeing, hiking and generally spending time outdoors in Ontario’s cottage country.
